JOB SPEC – FETTLER

Role Purpose
To remove runners and risers and fettle to appropriate quality standards - cast surfaces

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
• Inspection of tools before using
• Grinding and blending of parts.
• Jackhammering of parts to remove burn on and sand lumps in parts and pencil grinding.
• To clean tight areas in parts with use of Grinding tools and abrasives.
• To use hammer and chisel to remove lumps in corners of parts.
• Maintaining a neat working environment.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent technical grade
• Min. 3 years experience in a fettling/grinding of metal components environment.
• Valid forklift license advantageous

Salary range
R60 – R75 per hour dependant on experience
