Job Overview

Pump and Abrasion Technologies is looking for a skilled and creative Layout Designer / DTP Specialist to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and formatting high-quality technical documents, manuals, datasheets, and client-facing materials. This role requires a strong eye for layout, consistency, and visual clarity, with the ability to translate complex technical content into professional, print-ready documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and format pump assembly and maintenance manuals, lifting equipment guides, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with engineers and technical writers to ensure accurate and visually consistent layouts.
  • Prepare documents for both digital distribution and professional printing.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all technical and client-facing materials.
  • Create diagrams, infographics, and visual aids to support technical content.
  • Manage version control and updates to existing documents.
  • Ensure all outputs meet internal quality standards and are delivered on time.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, DTP, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a layout design or DTP role, preferably in a technical or industrial environment.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of layout principles, typography, and print production.
  • Ability to interpret technical content and collaborate with engineers and writers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with technical illustration or CAD software is a plus.
